The CSEG’s Value of Integrated Geophysics Committee has several interesting talks lined up for February 2020, two of which will be given by VIG members.
On Wednesday, February 26, Dennis Ellison of Emerson (and VIG member) will be giving the following CSEG luncheon talk: Seismic and Surface Deformation: Insights from Qualitative Comparisons over a SAGD Reservoir in Alberta. For abstract and registration details, please visit https://cseg.ca/technical/view/tl-seismic-and-surface-deformation-insights-from-qualitative-comparisons.

We are also pleased to announce the following SPE Geomechanics Breakfast Series. See abstract links below. Talks are $40 each for SPE members (or $100 for all three talks) and $50 for non-members (or $130 for all three).  For more information or to register, please visit https://specalgary.com/

One of VIG’s main goals is to get out and talk to engineers about geophysics, which is why we organize talks through the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). We let the CSEG members know too, so they can learn more about engineering. Plus, it never hurts to have a little support from the home team!
