June is here and the CSEG convention is over. I know I have a few new gray hairs! I hope the convention was a successful one for everyone.
It is one year since I took over “Tracing the Industry”. It has been a real pleasure working with the RECORDER team. Carolyn Neimi and I have worked hard to make both the “Grapevine” and “Tracing the Industry” entertaining and informative. The support and generous comments we have received are greatly appreciated. The next issue of the RECORDER will be in September, so please keep your announcements coming.
Whoops…
In the May issue of the RECORDER Megan Jubb announced that she had joined the exploration team at Guard Resources. The phone number given was incorrect. Megan’s correct phone number is 218-6614.

Whatever Happened To...
Since retiring from Geo-X in late 2000, Don Simpson has reverted to life as a mountain man and spends the bulk of his time in Canmore. He has a “fun job” as a part time ski instructor during the winter months but still manages the occasional trip to warmer climes with Mary Lou. The last few summers have included major building or moving projects. This summer’s agenda includes a lot of biking, hiking, fly fishing and golf. Don still enjoys an annual sailing trip with the “Doodlebouys” and he and Mary Lou love to hang out with their two grandsons. He can be reached at (403 )678-2807.
