Happy New Year! Welcome to 2022... What do we have to look forward to? The CSEG and CSEG Foundation Boards are looking at ways to hold hybrid meetings and events, so that the business of the day can go forward. Earth Science for Society is planning a new approach at the University of Calgary for outreach to the elementary schools and public. As of writing, both the Doodlespiel and the Ski Spree are planning to go ahead under new guidelines to keep our membership safe while still having fun. As a member of the WiSE Committee, I know that we have been discussing resuming our annual golf tournament in September. Things are slowly getting to a new sense of normal. Remember to renew your CSEG membership! It has benefits!

GeoConvention 2022 will be held from June 20-22, 2022 and will use a hybrid model to showcase your work and knowledge-share with a broad audience of earth science and energy professionals in a combination of virtual and in-person events and speakers. Abstracts will be accepted through Friday, February 4th, 2022
