Happy April! I would like to say thank you to the CSEG Executive for giving the membership a paper RECORDER edition again this year. It was my privilege to serve as Technical Editor on this edition, and wanted to say THANKS to everyone who made the experience easy: Ruth Peach, who did an amazing job in selling advertisements to help fund it, Brian Schulte and Albert Scutt for guiding the process, Marc Boulet/Floy Baird/Sue Carr/Trish Mulder/Brain Schulte/Gary Roy amongst others, who wrote creative articles, Satinder Chopra for his interviewing skills, Trudy Curtis for stepping in as Special Coordinator, and Bonnie and Lawrence Luft for their continued excellence in creating our printed edition. Emerson (formerly Paradigm) is pleased to welcome Dennis Ellison to our team. In his role as Technical Advisor – Geophysics, Dennis will focus on promoting Emerson’s advanced geophysical software and services. Dennis brings 6 years of experience as a geophysicist and successfully defended his M.Sc. thesis at the end of 2018.

Women in Seismic (WiSE) – Save the Date!
The annual WiSE Golf Tournament will be held the afternoon of Thursday, September 12th at Fox Hollow in Calgary… and Mother Nature has PROMISED us this year that we won’t have snow. Or sleet. Or torrential downpours. This is a themed FUN FIRST tournament held annually in support of women’s health initiatives (ovarian and breast cancer research) and the CSEG-Foundation’s Scholarship Program. We welcome players of all skill-levels and all genders.
