February… the coldest month, the shortest month and also the most challenging month for announcements. As I collect announcements for February in December, it is always my shortest column. Arcis Seismic Solutions, a TGS Company, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Rennie to the position of Advanced Processing Geophysicist – QC Services. John will be responsible for assisting the QC Services Project Manager, Thane Strandberg in the quality control of multi-client projects by effectively applying Arcis’ and TGS’ QC methodology to enforce project standards and quality assurance procedures.
John attended the University of British Columbia where he obtained a BSc (Hons) in Geology/Geophysics. He has over 20 years of varied seismic processing experience from many regions around the globe in different challenging environments. Related work has included field acquisition, IT backup, user support, scripting, supervision, and documentation. His most recent role was as Processing Supervisor.
