Geokinetics Inc. (AMEX: GOK) announced the appointment of T. Diane Anderson to the newly created position of Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, effective November 1, 2008. Reporting to Richard Miles, the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Anderson will be responsible for the oversight of legal affairs worldwide working closely with the board of directors, executive management and operations teams.

Mr. Miles stated, “In a relatively short period of time, Diane has played a key role in addressing a wide range of legal, business and regulatory issues for the company and I am delighted to appoint her to this important new position.
