Robin Owens joined Talisman Energy in July 2003, as a Geophysicist in the International Exploration team. He has been assigned to the Alaska NPRA project, following Talisman’s recent deal with Total in Houston. Robin has experience working the North Sea and Gulf of Mexico with Amerada Hess, and most recently WCSB Foothills and Cretaceous channel plays with Marathon Canada Limited. Specialisations include Pre-SDM and AVO.

The 15th annual CPSG 10K run was held September 10th. This year’s race director, Stuart Mitchell of Petro-Canada is a CSEG member. The CSEG had a great showing at the event with 27 members of the geophysical community taking part. The post-race social event at Quincy’s was a great success and the race participants feasted on guilt-free pizza and beer and enjoyed lots of door prizes thanks to the sponsors. Congratulations to Kees Sinke who came in third overall.
Macdonald Cole has a new team member… Nathan James MacDonald. Born September 19, 2003 at 11:49 pm; 8 lbs, 19 1/2 inches tall. Healthy and doing well. Proud parents are Hannah and Steve MacDonald. The proud grandparents are Judi MacDonald and Grafton Cole.
Geoff Wilcox has returned to his first love (no second love), geology, and would like to thank all the wonderful people he had the chance to work with in the seismic business for the last 11 years. Divestco Inc. is excited to welcome Tish Kilburn to their dynamic sales team.
