My name may be familiar to a lot of you as l have been in this column more than anyone else over the last three years!! I have been in the oil patch for almost 20 years, the last 7 years in a sales and marketing role. I am currently the Sales Manager at Lynx Information Systems Canada.
This is the column many of you read first when you receive your RECORDER. I will do my best to keep the column active and interesting. But I need help! If you have changed jobs, hosted a client party, gotten a new degree or anything else you would like to share with the geophysical family in Calgary please let me know. Tako Koning has retired from Chevron Texaco after having spent 29 years with Texaco in Canada, Indonesia, Nigeria and lastly Angola where he was Kwanza Basin Exploration Manager. He continues to live in Luanda and is now Angola Residential Representative for the Yme Foundation, a Norwegian NGO focused on water exploration and community development projects in Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo and the interior of Angola. He is also Angola Technical Advisor for Dublin-based Tullow Oil.
