Hopefully everyone who attended the CSEG/CSPG/CWLS GeoConvention found the experience worthwhile both technically and for networking opportunities. Huge thanks to the MANY volunteers who helped shape the events and to the members of JACC (Joint Annual Convention Committee) and our Convention Staff.

OIL SANDS IMAGING is now SOUND QI

To better reflect our increasingly diverse customer base, we have changed our name from Oil Sands Imaging to Sound QI (effective May 1st). It’s not just the name that is new. In addition to offering a comprehensive reservoir characterization package, we will now be providing individual Quantitative Interpretation (QI) services scalable to your project needs.

WiSE Golf Tournament

Save the Date! The annual Women in Seismic golf tournament will be held this year on Thursday, September 13th at the Fox Hollow Golf Course in Calgary. This is a GREAT opportunity for networking and golfing in support of a great cause: ovarian and breast cancer research. Online registration will begin shortly. GEOConvention – LIGHT UP THE WORLD Silent Auction

Founded in Calgary in 1999, Light Up the World is an international development organization dedicated to providing renewable energy and innovative lighting solutions to communities in need in the developing world. Since its inception, LUTW has facilitated the installation of approximately 30,000 lights that have illuminated close to one million lives in 53 countries.

When you come to the exhibit hall during the GeoConvention, please take the time to look at the silent auction tables that will be strategically placed amongst the booths. The auction will open during the exhibition hours on Monday, May 14th and bidding will be finished at the Tuesday, May 15th evening Networking Social. The success of this worthwhile endeavour depends largely on your help!
