June 2010 – After a crazy May, which started out with a couple snowstorms, had the GeoCanada2010 Convention in the middle and is rounded up nicely into the summer months… I am ready for golf season! Haha… No, really… I’ve been practicing! I will SO be ready for the T-Wave tournament on June 14th at the Inglewood Golf and Curling Club. I’ll be the one aiming directly into the water trap… it’s all skill, really.

Am happy to report that Lorna had a beautiful baby girl, and both mom and Jessica are doing well. HUGE congratulations to the Englesons on their new addition..

58th ANNUAL DOODLEBUG GOLF TOURNAMENT – DATE & LOCATION CHANGE!

This year there are some big changes in store for the tournament. The Doodlebug Golf Committee values the input from the CSEG membership and their associated companies. For this reason there is a new location and date for the 2010 Doodlebug.

September 9 - 11, 2010, at the Kimberley Alpine Resort.

The Doodlebug Golf Tournament is an event held each summer that provides a competitive golf venue for CSEG members of all levels and ability, from scratch golfers to true first-timers. Participants and their guests will enjoy a full schedule of formal and informal social events throughout each day and on into the evenings. Similar to Doodlespiel and Ski Spree, it is the social and networking aspect of this event that provides the basis for a great weekend amongst new and old friends of the Canadian Geophysical Industry.

Kimberley Alpine Resort is one of Canada’s premier resorts that offers Doodlebug participants access to this fantastic venue at a very reasonable cost. The golf course is challenging, but extremely forgiving and each hole bears a different and distinctive view of the majestic Kootenay Range.

The 2010 Committee hopes that you will consider this event in your plans for this summer. www.doodlebuggolf.ca.
