Seismic Micro-Technology, Inc. Adds Technology of Rock Solid Images

In an effort to push the boundaries of visualization tools and broaden interpretation capabilities, Seismic Micro-Technology, Inc. (SMT) and Rock Solid Images have entered into an agreement where SMT will offer a new product based on Rock Solid Images attribute technology. A geoscience software tool for interpreters, Rock Solid Attributes™ includes 41 different seismic attributes that extract the maximum amount of information from seismic data. These attributes will be seamlessly integrated with 3D seismic data in SMT's present applications.

According to Thomas Smith, President of Seismic MicroTechnology, Inc., "Our clients have been asking about advanced attributes in two areas. They are looking for SMT to help them retrieve more detail about reservoirs from seismic data and they want better ways to identify potential reservoirs in large surveys. TI1e addition of Rock Solid Attributes" to SMT's software is a major step in supporting the needs of our clients."

Rock Solid Attributes™ will be demonstrated at the SEC convention in Salt Lake City in October at the SMT booth #2015.
