SIS Joins GEDCO

Geophysical Exploration & Development Corporation (GEDCO) and Seismic Image Software Ltd. (SIS) are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement for SIS to become a division of GEDCO. Mike Galbraith will remain in the position of president of SIS. SIS will continue its management, development and support of the processing software VISTA and the 3-D design software OMNI. Both VISTA and OMNI licenses and SIS consulting services will continue to be available through the new combined GEDCO/SIS organization.

Excalibur-Gemini Group Ltd. Case Study on Geophysical Information Management Projects

The Excalibur-Gemini Group Ltd. presented a case study white paper on one of their Geophysical Information Management Projects at the ARMA International (International Association of Records Managers and Administrators) Conference in Las Vegas in late October. This case study described the information management processes, volumes of data, the vendor online technology, and the end result bottom line effect enjoyed by the client. The project was born from the client's vision, made possible by the technological skill of the vendor, and brought to reality by the information management expertise. The presentation was the first of its kind at this conference and was very well attended and received. The paper was nominated for an international award at the conference.

Gemcom Wins Strategic Contract with Konkola Copper Mines

Gemcom Software International Inc. announced that it has won a Significant contract with Zambian based Konkola Copper Mines (KCM). KCM, controlled by Anglo American, is one of the world's leading copper and cobalt suppliers.

The contract is for the supply and implementation of Gemcom's Network Edition, a scalable solution designed for the planning and management of world class mining operations. Dimension Data and Gemcom Form Global Marketing Initiative

Industry IT giant Dimension Data and Gemcom Software International Inc. announced that they have formed a strategic marketing alliance. The goal of this alliance is to market the combination of Gemcom's Enterprise Mining System (GEMS) with Dimension Data's information technology services to the global mining community.

Gemcom and Dimension Data will embark on an international marketing campaign to develop the growing market for integrated resource asset management systems. Dimension Data's marketing and sales professionals will collaborate with Gemcom's technical sales professionals to present both companies combined products and services to the world's leading mining companies.
