16th World Petroleum Congress Call for Papers and Posters
Canada is host to the 16th World Petroleum Congress (WPC), held in Calgary June 11-15th, 2000.
The centre point of the congress is the technical program where petroleum industry experts from around the globe will present ideas, solutions and trends. The 16th WPC will be the most important petroleum congress in the year 2000. We are inviting you and members of your organization to consider being a part of the program.
There are two ways of participating in the program. The first is the Forums, generally 4 papers presented on a specific topic. The second area of participation is through the Poster Sessions. An integral part of the Congress Program, the role of the Forum Posters for the 16th World Petroleum Congress has been enhanced from previous congresses. The Forum Posters will be located immediately adjacent to the Forum Session rooms, and be given prominent display during the entire day. We will be introducing electronic display capabilities to the poster area, ensuring the important contribution of Posters to the Program.
A new innovation to the 16th World Petroleum Congress will be the Free Poster Session Tuesday afternoon of the Congress.
A submission form is available in electronic for mat. Please request an electronic copy of the forms by sending an e-mail to cdn.assoc@wpc2000.com.
The Program Committee of the Canadian Organizing Committee for the 16th WPC will be assembling, reviewing and forwarding the proposals to the appropriate forum Chairs. In order to meet the Program Schedule, all Paper and Poster Proposals must be returned to the 16th WPC Offices 110 later than February 16th, 1999.
Please contact Dr. Randy Gossen at 403-234-6979 if you have any questions regarding the Program Topics, or direct general question to Laurel McKay at the 16th WPC Offices, 1350, 144 - 4th Avenue S.W., Calgary, Alberta, Canada T2P 3N4, Phone: (403) 218-2000 or Fax: (403) 218-2002.
