By relating rock properties from an earth model to geophysical interpretations, PetroSolv integrates the exploration world of the geophysicist, geologist and petrophysicist. Based on user defined geological models and utilizing core, wireline, cuttings and mineral log data PetroSolv optimizes mineral and fluid volumes. Additionally, PetroSolv has the ability to estimate a variety of curves, including shear transit time and Poisson's Ratio which can then be used for AVO modelling.

Canex Information Services Releases SaskGIS(2.0) Grid

Canex now has the SaskGIS(2.0) grid available for purchase. The Saskatchewan government recently released this long awaited surveyed data set, which covers the southern half of the province. Enertec Announces Significant Hardware Additions

Enertec Geophysical Services Limited has purchased additional Hewlett Packard workstations for its seismic data processing centers. With the purchase of two C110' s and one C160 with the PA-8000 chip, Enertec significantly increases the resources available to service its growing clientele. Each of the new workstations will be configured with 256 MB of RAM.

In response to our clients' increasing requirements for rapid turnaround of large 3D datasets and 2D and 3D pre-stack imaging work, Enertec has increased the memory on its Hewlett Packard K200 SMP server to 1 Gigabyte and increased the K200's network throughput to 100 Mb/sec. Processing disk storage has also been increased to 400 Gbyte and its network bandwidth to 600 Mb/sec.
