LANDMARK CEO RESIGNS TO START-UP NEW VENTURE; SUCCESSOR APPOINTED

Landmark Graphics Corporation announced recently that C. Eugene Ennis, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, has resigned from Landmark to become a principal in a new start-up venture. Mr. Robert P. Peebler has been elected Landmark’s CEO, effective December I, 1992.

HAMPSON-RUSSELL RELEASES INTERACTIVE GLI3D

Hampson-Russell Software is pleased to announce the release of interactive GLl3D, a tomography-based, 2-and 3-D refraction statics program. The new UNIX-based program complements the earlier batch version of the program, which has proven to be highly successful in complex exploration areas. Hampson-Russell is based in Calgary.

GEDCO ADDS STAFF AND GEOQUEST WORKSTATION

Tom Collins and Jean Roy have joined Geophysical Exploration & Development Corporation (GEDCO) and are in the position to provide the exploration industry with consulting expertise in all areas of geophysics. Services will include designing and supervising of data acquisition and processing, integrated interpretation, and geophysical modelling.

GEDCO provides integrated geophysical interpretations for 2D and 3D seismic, gravity and magnetics and is also offering GeoQuest workstation services and support to the industry.

24 BIT TECHNOLOGY NOW AT VERITAS GEOPHYSICAL LTD.

Veritas Geophysical Ltd. announces the arrival of their I/O System II 24 bit recording system. The System II is now available to exploration companies and is presently capable of 1,000 channels. The System II complements the four System I crews Veritas has working throughout Western Canada.

CAGC 1993 OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS

The Canadian Association of Geophysical Contractors recently announced their Officers and Directors for 1993. The Officers elected were: Chairnlan, Ian Reid (HGS Incorporated); Vice Chairman, Garnet Mueller (IRS Exploration Company Ltd.); and William Kammermayer (W.J. Kammermayer Consulting Services Ltd.) continues to serve as C.A.G.C.’s permanent President.

Malcolm Mcdonald of Canjay Exploration (1975) Ltd., Mitch Peters of Solid State Exploration Ltd., Brent Gale of Veritas Geophysical Ltd., and Marinus Snyders of Pioneer Exploration Inc. were elected Directors. Ralph DeWolfe of Datum Exploration Ltd. will remain on the Board of Directors as Past Chairman.

O&G IN THE FORMER USSR CONFERENCE

The “Oil and Gas in the former Soviet Union: Prospects and Opportunities” conference will be held April 1-2, 1993 at the Palliser Hotel, Calgary. Co-sponsored by the Canada-Russia Business Council and Insight Information Inc., the conference will feature industry experts, government representatives and experienced senior executives from Canadian companies actively engaged in oil and gas projects in the former Soviet Union.
