Seasons Greetings to all, and may the next year be a healthy and prosperous one. An ancient Chinese curse says, "May you live in interesting times." The author may have coined that phrase just for the Oil Industry. It certainly looks like we will have some interesting times ahead. Single digit oil prices are being touted as just around the corner, I even overheard some sage forecasting $1.20 gas prices. I just hope he was talking about pump prices. It is almost time to get the group together and head to California and do a few cold weather dances. Although the best suggestion may be to send the cold front to Wall Street and convince a few investment houses of the value of this commodity.

We are still looking for feed-back from the membership on the Recorder, so if you have comments or concerns (or even praise), just let William or myself know and we will do our best to address them. We are always looking for material to publish as well, so if you have ideas, stories, case histories or articles just holler. The future will see more changes being made to the Recorder, nothing drastic, but an ongoing evolution. There will also be changes to the CSEG website, with parts of the Recorder being added each month. Don't expect or worry about this taking the place of the printed magazine, we are still a long way from that happening, but you can be sure that as technology changes and advances our society will change and ad vance to keep up with it. This brings us right back to publishing articles in the Recorder and the Journal, it is a perfect way to inform and keep up with change.

The first few months in this job has been interesting, but I can't complain, it has also been a learning experience, and that's a good thing.
